Candy Stripes

Dear Fleecie,

My threadbare joints and batting are mending well for my age. Will you begin to knit me my black booties soon? Perhaps the ribbon laces should be candy-striped.

Devotedly,
Raggedy

Tricorn Hat

Oh Raggedy!

I thought you were sleeping under the brim of your Hallowe'en tri-corn hat. You made a great Yankee Doodle with the pheasant's feather tucked in the hatband! I am only sorry you couldn't go Trick or Treating, but I know you are still recovering from your operation. TeaJay was too shy to show at the Dreamcatcher, but winked when I chose the red web. Agaliha was very quiet but wore a contented smile.

The Dreamcatcher

Dear Fleecebumpkin,

I watched you sneak the Dreamcatcher into our room and hide it. After you put out the lamplight and darkness fell around me, I heard its bells tinkling and knew you were having good dreams. Did Tea Jay help you make the Dreamcatcher? I noticed the web is red, his favorite color, and mine, too, because it matches my hair and my heart.

Love,
Raggedy

All Saints' Day - November 1, 2009

My Raggedy,
Yesterday was Hallowe'en, All Souls' - the Invasion of the Candy Snatchers. More than 70 pieces of candy distributed and several bags of lunchbox cookies to satisfy the greedy stragglers before declaring a blackout. Today, All Saints' - I'm going to visit the Dreamcatcher. I shall summon the Great Spirit! I wonder if the Tea Jay will be there?
